Our purpose is changing people’s outdoor living habits by consultation, careful design, and construction.
After contacting Lasting Impression for the first time, our team evaluates your project and returns your call or email within three business days.
Fit is important to us. Due to overwhelming demand, lasting impression cannot accommodate every request we receive. We carefully assess every inquiry and advise if our company can take on your project or if we may have to decline due to scope, budget or location.
Your designer will meet with you to discuss your landscaping project, and answer your questions about our design-build process, warranty, and qualifications. There is no charge for the initial meeting. There is a design fee to proceed with the next step: design and preliminary budget.
The purpose of this phase is to clearly define the overall scope, direction, and parameters of the project. After measuring the property, your designer will produce a landscape design showing the elements of your landscape. Your designer will also provide a reasonable estimate of what it will take to build your landscape, general information about construction methods, and some early suggestions for plants and materials.
Once you and your designer have agreed on a preliminary budget and design – it’s time to focus on the details of your project: refining the layout, plant selection, choosing materials for hardscape, soil testing (if necessary), inventory and analysis of existing plants, and coordinating bids from subcontractors.
During this phase you will rely on LILG for our construction and budgeting expertise. Many questions will be asked and answered, new ideas will surface, and early ones might be scratched. In the end, you will have a detailed landscape plan, timeline, and line item budget.
You can decide at any time to sign a contract for construction. When we have received a signed contract and a deposit, you will be assigned a place in the schedule.
Many projects can be built in just a couple of days. More complex projects may take a number of weeks, depending on the size of the project. Sometimes projects are delayed due to inclement weather, but we do our best to keep you informed and minimize surprises.
Our crews will never abandon someone else’s project to start yours and will never disappear from your project to go work on another.
